SYNOPSIS
Bring on the Boll! Notorious German filmmaker Uwe Boll arrives at Toronto After Dark with his ambitious sword and sorcery epic adapted from the Dungeon Siege video games.
Jason Statham leads an all-star cast as Farmer, a simple man who wants nothing more than a quiet life with his family. He cares nothing at all for the outside world, at least not until rampaging hordes of evil creatures kill his young son and take his beautiful wife captive. And so our reluctant hero is drawn into an epic story that sees him fighting side by side with his surrogate father (Ron Perlman), the king himself (Burt Reynolds) and the king’s powerful mage (John Rhys-Davies) against the evil hordes led by Gallian (an outrageously over-the-top Ray Liotta).
Boasting Boll’s highest budget yet has ever had to work with, the filmmaker puts the mountains of British Columbia to great use while enlisting the services of legendary fight choreographer Tony Ching (HERO, HOUSE OF FLYING DAGGERS) to handle the action.
