Synopsis
Oscar-nominated animator Bill Plympton has built a reputation over the years for some of the world’s freakiest and funniest short films that expose the dark side of human nature. With IDIOTS & ANGELS the animation legend delivers a feature-length dark comedy as brilliant as his shorts. In this twisted adult fairy tale with a heavy David Lynchian flavour, a morally despicable man discovers growths in his back that sprout into a pair of wings. After our anti-hero uses his new found power of flight for immoral deeds the wings develop a life of their own. A dark and hilarious war between man and wings ensues. A terrific soundtrack from Tom Waits accompanies this deliriously cult film, unlike any animated feature you’ve ever seen!
