“A smart, immensely entertaining action film…with a surprising amount of humor, heart and melancholy.” – Twitch Film

Synopsis

It’s actor-playing-gangster meets gangster-playing-actor in Jang Hun’s ROUGH CUT.  Written and produced by arthouse favorite Kim Ki-Duk, ROUGH CUT takes a very different approach in its raw, energetic story of an arrogant actor who has so alienated the rest of his profession that the only person he can convince to co-star in his current gang film is an actual gangster with dreams of stardom.  ROUGH CUT became the sleeper hit of Korea in 2008, the young stars taking home awards hand over fist. Not that there’s any shortage of fists to be found ...
