THE LAST EXORCISM (Special Presentation, Mon, Aug 16, 7PM)

We can now reveal to fans that acclaimed filmmaker ELI ROTH, the producer of THE LAST EXORCISM will be in attendance for a Q&A at this exclusive Toronto Premiere screening!  Roth is a titan of genre filmmaking who in less than 10 years has already left an indelible mark on cinema with such fan favourites as CABIN FEVER, HOSTEL, HOSTEL 2, GRINDHOUSE and INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS to name but a few, and we are honoured that he has agreed to appear at our event! SPECIAL BONUS: As an extra treat for fans, joining Eli onstage will be the film’s leading actors Patrick Fabian and Ashley Bell.  We expect tickets to this special presentation with Eli Roth to sell out very soon, so grab your tickets here.

THE LAST LOVECRAFT (Opening Gala Film, Fri, Aug 13, 7PM)

Meanwhile, for our opening gala film, fans can look forward to not only a crowd-pleasing new monster comedy in the form of THE LAST LOVECRAFT, but also the chance to hang out with four ferociously talented up and coming filmmakers who are flying in for their film’s International Premiere!  Join first-time feature Director Henry Saine (whose behind-the-scenes TV credits include fan favourites THE OFFICE and ENTOURAGE), Writer-Producer-Leading Actor triple threat Devin McGinn, co-lead actor Kyle Davis (THE HITCHER, FRIDAY THE 13TH remakes) and producer Mike McGinn as they take the stage for questions on their brilliant new creature feature! SPECIAL BONUS:  the filmmakers will be giving out monster masks to the audience, inspired by designs seen in the film! Grab your tickets here.

AL ABOUT EVIL (Canadian Premiere, Tues, Aug 17, 9.45 PM)

Writer-Director Joshua Grannell will be in attendance to intro and host a lively Q&A for the first Canadian screening of his new serial killer cult horror comedy, ALL ABOUT EVIL.  Under his alter-ego PEACHES CHRIST, Grannell has become an icon of the San Francisco underground film scene, with his outrageous performances whilst hosting the wildly popular monthly cult film screening series MIDNIGHT MASS.  Fans can look forward to finding out what it was like to work with such a brilliantly eclectic cast that included the likes of Natasha Lyonne, Mink Stole , Noah Segan, Thomas Dekker and Elvira herself, Cassandra Peterson!  SPECIAL BONUS:  As a special added treat, audiences are encouraged to dress up in their best “Gore Couture” to participate in a costume contest at the screening, to be judged by GRANNELL and Toronto’s own “Ladybearextraordinaire” FAY SLIFT, with the lucky winner scoring exclusive ALL ABOUT EVIL prizes!  Grab your tickets here.

I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE (Toronto Premiere, Thurs, Aug 19, 9.45PM)

The incredibly graphic and intense revenge horror film I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE is arguably the most shocking and controversial film of Toronto After Dark Film Festival 2010, and likely to lead to a number of fans walking out who can’t brave its intense scenes of sexual violence followed by a series of brutal revenge killings. Those who can make it through, will be rewarded with the chance to question Steven R. Monroe, a truly gifted and courageous filmmaker charged by Anchor Bay with remaking a notorioius horror classic.  SPECIAL BONUS: The Screening will be hosted by Rue Morgue who will be contesting off prizes to fans before the film.  Tickets are already selling fast to this screening. Grab your tickets here.
