The Buzz
“Not a typical zombie gorefest…..a rare gem that transcends the genre, and sets a new standard for independent horror films. In truth, it sets the bar very high for horror films, period.”
- Fangoria
“A brilliant cast (Stephen McHattie, Bill Moseley, Dee Wallace), a beautiful and effective score, some terrific-looking animation scenes and a few of the greatest-looking zombies I’ve seen in a long time.”

Synopsis
John Geddes delivers a stunning, fresh take on the zombie genre, with EXIT HUMANITY, a stirring apocalyptic western. Set during the period after the Civil War, in 1870s Tennessee a young man Edward Young (newcomer Mark Gibson in a breakout lead performance) finds himself caught in the midst of a deadly outbreak of the walking dead. With his son missing, Young embarks on a harrowing cross-country journey to track him down, all the time facing off challenges not just from the ferocious undead, but also from also from the living. Beautifully shot, EXIT HUMANITY is a smart, thought-provoking look at one man’s voyage through the apocalypse. The film also features stunning, animated journal entries, all narrated by genre luminary Brian Cox (BOURNE SUPREMACY, TRICK ‘R TREAT) and fans will be further delighted with the terrific supporting cast that includes fan favourites Bill Moseley (DEVIL’S REJECTS) Dee Wallace (E.T. CUJO) and Stephen McHattie (WATCHMEN, 300).
