“One of the best films to appear this year….CRAVE is the kind of tough, uncompromising character study that Hollywood used to turn out with regularity.”- Fangoria
“Gets under the skin in the way the best character movies do.” - Ain’t It Cool

Thirty-something Aiden (Josh Lawson) is a freelance crime scene photographer, roaming the mean streets of Detroit looking for carnage. Obsessed with the violence he witnesses every day, Aiden has regressed into living in his own head, vividly imagining violent revenge scenarios, as well as his own heroics. After a casual fling with Virginia (Emma Lung), a young woman living in his apartment building, turns sour and a violent confrontation in a convenience store hold-up, Aiden’s tenuous grasp on reality finally cracks.
CRAVE is a supremely impressive directorial debut by Charles de Lauzirika, highly regarded for his work producing the BLADE RUNNER Ultimate Edition. Along with a stellar lead performance by Lawson as Aiden, a fantastic supporting turn by Ron Perlman (HELLBOY) as his police officer confidant, de Lauzirika has crafted a darkly humourous decent of a character you’ll love one minute and despise the next. Like a whimsical version of TAXI DRIVER, this film will strike a chord with the daydreamer in all of us, though we may not like what we see.
