SAVE THE DATES: Toronto After Dark Film Festival returns October 14-18, 2026 with our 19th thrilling edition!

WHAT: Toronto After Dark Film Festival is one of the world’s leading showcases of new Horror, Thriller and Sci-Fi Movies, enjoyed by over 5,000 attendees each year including film lovers, press, industry and filmmakers.

WHY: A thrilling cinematic blast for movie fans and filmmakers, Toronto After Dark has been Voted Runner-Up for Best Film Festival in the City by audiences (BlogTO) and One of the Top Genre Film Festivals in the World by filmmakers (MovieMaker).

Each year around 1,000 filmmakers from around the world submit films in competition for a coveted screening slot at our October film showcase, packed full of thousands of delighted audience members, seeking new cinematic thrills and chills! WHEN & WHERE: Toronto After Dark’s 19th Annual Edition runs over 5 Thrilling nights, Wednesday-Sunday, October 14-18, 2026.

The festival will screen around 40 amazing new films, both features and shorts, at the Scotiabank Theatrelocated at 259 Richmond Street West: the largest cinema in the heart of Toronto’s downtown Entertainment District, surrounded by plenty of great transit options, shops, amenities, bars and restaurants for our audience members to enjoy! A number of the filmmakers will be in attendance for lively Q & A’s with the fans following their screenings!

2026 ROLL-OUT DATES

MAY. 14th, 2026 - FESTIVAL ALL-ACCESS PASSES ON ADVANCE SALE!

Toronto After Dark’s fan-favourite All-Access Passes will go on sale. These passes give cinema-goers the luxury of Priority Entry to all festival screenings combined with a huge discount vs regular ticket prices. But be warned, there is a limited supply, and they sell out early every year!

SEPT. 23rd, 2026 - FULL FILM LINEUP AND SCHEDULE GOES LIVE

All 10 of the festival’s feature films plus approximately 30 Amazing Shorts , adding up to 12 thrilling screenings over 5 nights, will be announced on site here as part of our 18th Annual lineup! Pass-holders will begin reserving their priority tickets.

LATE SEPT. - SINGLE TICKETS GO ON SALE

Individual Tickets will also be available for purchase here at the Festival Site, and In Person at Scotiabank Theatre on the day of a respective screening.
